Gabriella Gutiérrez y Muhs is a professor of Modern Languages/Women Studies and Director of the Latin American Studies Program at Seattle University. She is the author of the poetry collection A Most Improbable Life, the forthcoming novel Invitations: Malgré Tout, and a collection of interviews: Communal Feminisms: Chicanas, Chilenas and Cultural Exile. Her forthcoming co-edited books include Rebozos de Palabras: An Helena María Viramontes Reader, and La Pluma Pintada: A José Antonio Burciaga Reader. For the past fifteen years, she actively has been delivering poetry readings, motivational talks, and keynote speeches at conferences, trainings, schools, and events.
